A member of Wharton’s faculty since 1987, Stephen J. Kobrin is William H. Wurster Professor of Multinational Management. In 2008, he was appointed Editor of Wharton School Publishing.
His research interests include international political economy, globalization, global strategy, and the impact of the information revolution. During his tenure at Wharton, he has served as Director of the Joseph H. Lauder Institute of International Studies and Management and Chair of the Management Department.
His professional leadership positions include President of the Academy of International Business; Chair of the International Division of the Academy of Management; and Chair of the Disciplinary Advisory Committee for the Fulbright Scholar Awards. Professor Kobrin has been a Fellow at the World Economic Forum since 1995.
He received his MBA from Wharton in 1962 and a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in 1975.
